Group NAO is happily blooming with new projects, exciting clients and playful ideas, which is also why we are looking for a junior research assistant (student position) to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone with analytical curiosity, an aptitude for data collection, a flair for creative business development and an eagerness to collaborate with our team.
Since we founded Group NAO in 2019, we have established NAO as creative change makers, strategists and communicators with clients and partners across Europe and North America. We always work in collaborative partnerships for people-based communities, cities and destinations.
YOUR ROLE WITH NAO
As a junior research assistant, you will be assigned with project coordination, take part in execution of market studies and research projects, work with interviewing and perform data analysis. Lastly, you will be supporting our senior partners with strategy conception and presentations.

Our current projects range from destination strategy development, mapping and modelling participatory designs in tourism, sustainable innovation, communication and conference curation, data analysis and visualization, mapping of market potential, art in urban development and much more…
WE ARE LOOKING FOR…
… someone with an analytical mind, whose interest and motivation is easily ignited by a diverse range of tasks and projects, and who is independent and eager to develop new skills.
More concretely, you will:
- Perform desk research and data collection (interviewing)
- Dig out and analyze insights
- Help visualize findings in reports, presentations, white papers, articles etc.
- Support the development of new business proposals
- Contribute to client presentations and deliverables
- Produce content for NAOs communication channels (website, social media)
- Support the team in various administrative tasks
You are currently studying at bachelor’s or master’s level in a relevant degree such as sociology, anthropology, ethnology, tourism or urban development studies or political science. You have strong writing and presentation skills, and fair proficiency in the use of Excel and PowerPoint.
LOCATION AND BENEFITS
Your base will be our office in Copenhagen. We have a high degree of flexibility – and vary between working from home or remotely during fieldwork, but we also really enjoy our days together in the office.
The position is a student position, salary and benefits according to qualifications and experience.
